Protonex CTO, Dr. Paul Osenard will offer his perspective on the plentiful near-term product opportunities for fuel cells, based on currently available technologies. Dr. Osenard's talk will introduce the Protonex approach to market penetration and review some other potential bright spots for near term commercialization of fuel cells. Still more opportunities exist for next-generation fuel cells. The National Science Foundation-funded Fueling the Future Center for Chemical Innovation (FTF-CCI) is focused on enhancing the efficiency of charge transport, a crucial process in most energy devices, especially solar and fuel cells. Professor S. “Thai” Thayumanavan will discuss his work as director of the FTF-CCI at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
